The history of General Electric Company:
The General Electric Company is one of the most important piece in history of technology in the United States, and is relevant to this day. Before, General Electric was created to be one of the biggest companies in the world, following the evolution of Electrical Technology. A thought of electric light, heat and power, now a shining realistic picture, helped make the company grow into a vital topic.
Thomas Edison; the creator of the light bulb in a research laboratory, has formed a number of separate business enterprise and pulled them all together to make one large company called Edison General Electric. Around the time Edison combine his business, another person named Charles Coffin, had also brought together a number of small businesses to form the Thomas Houston Company. Eventually, Edison and Thomas merged companies, which made the name of the company General Electric.
