Week 14 - Segmenting and Targeting Markets
General Electric is aware that segmentation is important in consumer analysis because understanding the consumer will allow them to slice the market more meaningfully. To get a product or service to the right group or company, a marketer would have to segment the market, and then target a single segment or series of segments in the right positions. The position will determine what the main targets are and should be. General target are marketers who are willing to sell their appliance. The appliances are targeted towards family or single groups.
